Military Tuition Assistance

Military Tuition Assistance (TA) is a benefit that is available only while you’re in the service and is a source of financial aid for active duty military, National Guard and Reserve Component service members. Prior to enrolling, eligible service members must receive approval for TA funding from an Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within their branch of service. While the decision to pursue a degree may be a difficult one personally, TA can lessen your financial concerns considerably, since it covers $250 per semester credit hour.

TA Monetary Limits

The Tuition Assistance Program maintains the following limits

  • Not to exceed $250 per semester credit hour
  • Not to exceed $4,500 per fiscal year, Oct. 1 through Sept. 30
