Brazil Law School Exchange

In the Brazil Law School Student Exchange, two students are selected by Gonzaga Law School’s Foreign Exchange Commission to attend the São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas.

Students are selected for the GV/GU Law School Student Exchange Program on the basis of merit, taking into account their academic records and achievement, their maturity and their potential for contribution to the program.

Selection will also be based on the Personal Statement and a personal interview with the Foreign Student Exchange Committee. The host institution reserves the right to reject candidates.

Requirements for the program include:

  1. Prior completion of all required courses for graduation except for the experiential learning requirement
  2. Cumulative law school GPA of 2.5 or higher after the previous semester
  3. No finding of a violation of the Gonzaga University Law School Code of Student Conduct
  4. No significant criminal or other matters that might be relevant to the student’s ability to obtain a visa or otherwise successfully study in the Brazil program.
