Thank you for your interest in becoming a Gonzaga Admission Alumni Volunteer!
As an alumnus of Gonzaga University, you know first-hand the opportunities a Gonzaga education offers to students around the world. In the Office of Admission, we are constantly meeting with students that are interested in us because of what you, the alumni of Gonzaga, have told them about our amazing university. It is with your help that we are able to enroll the students that make Gonzaga such a special place.
Our alumni are located all across the U.S. and are often in places that representatives from the Office of Admission aren't able to visit. The two main ways that our volunteers can help GU are by representing GU at college fairs or attending admissions events in your area.
College Fairs: Gonzaga's Office of Admission visits hundreds of high schools and dozens of college fairs all around the country each year, but we are still not able to attend every opportunity that we would like to. This is where our spirited alumni come in. A Gonzaga Alumni Volunteer will attend these college fairs, typically at local high schools, and talk with prospective students and their parents about GU.
Admissions Events in Your Area: Our office holds events in cities all across the country to connect with prospective students and their families. These events range from dinners with accepted students to receptions celebrating students who have already enrolled at Gonzaga. We need alumni to attend these events and share stories about what being a Zag truly means.
Expectations for Alumni Volunteers
This is not a time-intensive volunteer opportunity. If you volunteer at a college fair, most fairs last approximately two hours We do not expect our volunteers to know the answer to every question asked; we want our alumni to simply share what it means to be a Zag with prospective students and their families. Volunteers will be provided a list of frequently asked questions and the business card for the admissions representative for the area.
Register as a Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering for one or both of the activities above, please fill out this short Alumni Representative Questionnaire. If a volunteer opportunity becomes available in your area, we may call on you for help.
