Alumni Admission Representatives

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Gonzaga Admission Alumni Representative!

It is through engaged alumni like yourself that we are able to increase visibility of Gonzaga throughout the nation and internationally!

My name is Alexa Salvador and I work in the Office of Admission. As a high school student, I had very limited resources in the college admission process and I feel very blessed to have landed at Gonzaga to receive a Jesuit education. It is because I believe in the growth and transformation that happens at Gonzaga that I am passionate about working in Admission at GU. As part of a collective effort to increase access and knowledge about colleges and universities, we are fortunate to be invited to college fairs, some which we are unable to attend, and would greatly appreciate your assistance in representing Gonzaga. Sharing our experiences at Gonzaga gives an opportunity for prospective students to experience how they can see themselves on our campus. When we are not able to be present at the college fair in your area, I will contact you to see if you are available to share your stories. Sign up for one, sign up for many, we appreciate any help! This webpage will give you further information on what it means to be an Alumni Representative. Thank you for your continued passion and engagement with GU. And GO ZAGS!

Alumni Volunteers

Our alumni are located all across the U.S. and are often in places where representatives from the Office of Admission aren't able to visit. The two main ways alumni volunteers can help GU are by representing GU at college fairs or attending admissions events in your area (we often request representation of alumni at events in the spring). However, we are most in need of alumni to represent Gonzaga at college fairs throughout the year and are grateful for your help!

Volunteer Opportunities

College Fairs: Gonzaga's Office of Admission visits hundreds of high schools and dozens of college fairs all around the country each year, but we are still not able to attend every opportunity that we would like to. This is where our spirited alumni come in. A Gonzaga Alumni Volunteer will attend these college fairs, typically at local high schools, and talk with prospective students and their parents about GU.

Admissions Events in Your Area: Our office holds events in cities all across the country to connect with prospective students and their families. These events range from dinners with accepted students to receptions celebrating students who have already enrolled at Gonzaga. We need alumni to attend these events and share stories about what being a Zag truly means.

Expectations for Alumni Volunteers

This is not a time-intensive volunteer opportunity. If you volunteer at a college fair, most fairs last approximately two hours We do not expect our volunteers to know the answer to every question asked; we want our alumni to simply share what it means to be a Zag with prospective students and their families. Volunteers will be provided a list of frequently asked questions and the business card for the admissions representative for the area.

Register as a Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering for one or both of the activities above, please fill out this short  Alumni Representative Questionnaire. If a volunteer opportunity becomes available in your area, we may call on you for help.
