The GUEST team. 

The Gonzaga University Event Service Team, GUEST provides the management of the John J. Hemmingson Center and is the central resource for conferences, events and service management on the Gonzaga campus as well as the Bozarth Mansion and Retreat Center.

Chuck Faulkinberry
Director, Hemmingson Center and Auxiliary Services

Chuck guides the vision of providing a safe, vibrant and student focused environment in the Hemmingson Center that welcomes the entire university population and the greater Spokane community. 

Chuck has been the Director of the Hemmingson Center and Auxiliary Services since 2015. He is in charge of running the Hemmingson Center and all events on campus. He oversees GUEST within the Hemmingson Center and is in charge of the Auxiliary Services such as the bookstore, dining, print and mail services on campus. He is in charge of exploring and creating entrepreneurial and business opportunities for Gonzaga University.

Cheryl Johnston
Assistant Director, Conference/Event Services

Cheryl assists the Gonzaga University community in making sure that events and meetings run successfully.  

Cheryl has been the Assistant Director of Conferences and Events since 2015. She oversees conferences and events in the Hemmingson Center and the greater Campus spaces such as Globe, classrooms and the Bozarth Mansion & Retreat Center. She helps facilitate collaboration with the greater campus partners to plan services. She is in charge of risk management, grounds keeping, and custodial to name a few. She supervises Event Managers within the GUEST department. 

Sheryl Humphrey

Sheryl ensures that the GUEST department within the Hemmingson Center runs smoothly and efficiently in all aspects of building operations. 

Sheryl has been the Assistant Director of Operations within the Hemmingson Center since 2015. She provides management and supervision of the Operations department. She ensures that guests, constituents and clients are happy with the building facilities. Additionally, Sheryl provides organizational leadership to operations managers, building coordinators, and welcome desk staff to name a few.

Suzie Mize
Assistant Director, Finance & Business

Suzie supports the GUEST department, the Hemmingson Center and Auxiliary services with all business practices. She also promotes the responsible use of resources. 

Suzie has been the Assistant Director, Finance and Business since 2015. She is in charge of business practice such as risk assessment, liability, contracts, revenue generation, to name a few. Suzie also manages Auxiliary Services contracts and is the HR liaison for the GUEST department.

Addison Cavanaugh
Campus Reservationist & Project Coordinator

Addison is in charge of making reservations for staff, faculty and students. 

Addison has been the Campus Reservationist and Project Coordinator since 2016. Her job is to make sure that every student, staff or faculty making a reservation have a space for their meetings or events.

Amy Guth

Amy is in charge of bookkeeping and financials for the GUEST department and the Auxiliary Services.   

Amy has been the Business Service Manager and Auxiliary Services Manager since 2016. She oversees general accounting functions, accounts payable, and invoices. She also assists with the management of auxiliary service contracts. Amy enjoys the numbers side of her job and loves working and interacting with people. 

Becky O'Connell

Becky oversees the preparation and execution and success of every event. 

Becky has been the Event Operations Manager since 2016. She oversees the preparation and execution of every event and ensures that all events are successful. Becky supervises the Operations staff within the GUEST department.

Carissa has been the Building Coordinator since 2018. Her job is to provide a positive experience for all who visit the Hemmingson Center. She ensures the functionality of the building and logistical execution of events.

Greg is in charge of technological support for the Hemmingson Center and campus events.  

Greg is the Event Operations Technology Specialist and has been working at Gonzaga since 2007. His job is to make sure the audio-visual technology required for each event works smoothly and without any problem.

Lori Leonard
Concierge

Lori is a friendly and welcoming face at the Welcome Desk in the Hemmingson Center. 

Lori has been a Concierge at the Hemmingson Center since 2016 and has worked at Gonzaga for 28 years. She offers a warm and inviting smile, manages lost and found, and reserves study rooms. She can answer any question you might have about Gonzaga University or the Spokane area.

Nick Wood
Event Operations Technology Specialist

Steven Ponce

Steven is in charge of all marketing and communication efforts for the GUEST Department.

Steven has been the Communications/Project Coordinator since 2018. He is the main point of contact for promotional items on the John J. Hemmingson Center Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter pages. He is also responsible for handling flyer requests that are intended to be used on the Digital Displays in the Hemmingson Center.

Stephany Schnelle

Stephany is in charge of managing the Welcome Desk. She makes sure that the building is in great working condition at all times. 

Stephany has been the Event Operations Specialist since 2018. Her job is to manage workstudy students to ensure that events run smoothly and sets happen efficiently.

Tere Graham

Tere supports Gonzaga’s internal events by making sure all event planner needs are met for their events.  

Tere joined Gonzaga as a reservationist in 2015 and currently holds the role of Event Manager. She creates organizational event diagrams according to client’s needs and channels them to Operations. She ensures all client’s needs are met for their events (technological and visual needs, catering, tables, to name a few).  

Vivi Windsor

Vivi is in charge of managing large scale and high-profile events in the Hemmingson Center and other venues on campus. 

Vivi has been the Senior Event Manager at the Hemmingson Center since 2015. She is responsible for managing high-profile events and ensuring their success. Vivi delivers great customer service each step of the way.

Wayne Shadd

Wayne supports Gonzaga’s external events by making sure all client's needs are met for their events.   

Wayne has been the Event Manager since 2017. He supports all types of external events that occur on the Gonzaga University Campus by overseeing the reservation of meeting and event space across Gonzaga’s campus, and the Bozarth Mansion & Retreat Center. He ensures all client’s needs are met for their events regarding their technological and visual needs, catering, tables and so forth.
