Several states have databases of UCC filings that can be searched for free on the Web (some others require a fee to search their UCC databases online). Be advised, however, that the information attainable from such searches is likely to vary from state to state. For example, in some states you may not get certificated search results through an electronic search. In others, you may not be able to view the actual filings or obtain some of the information on the filings. Below are links to many of the sites where UCC filings can be searched for free.
