Gonzaga Law has established the ZagLaw Emergency Fund to help students in times of need. The Gonzaga Law School Foundation fundraises throughout the year and awards funds as donations are received.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be enrolled and a current student at Gonzaga Law.
- ·Provide information about financial need caused by a sudden, unexpected change in circumstances.
Expenses Potentially Covered:
- Books and other essential academic expenses
- Transportation/Bus Pass
- Medical Care
- Child Care
- Housing/Rent
- Food/Meals
Examples of Expenses Not Covered:
- Tuition, Fees, and/or Study Abroad Costs
- Parking tickets or other fines
- Non-essential utilities (i.e. cable, cell phone bill) and household needs
- Credit Card Debit and/or Personal Debit
- Entertainment
- Court Fees
Students who find themselves in need are encouraged to apply. Please be aware that not all requests can be met, awards will not exceed $1,000, and loss of a scholarship does not meet the eligibility criteria. The ZagLaw Emergency Fund is administered by the Law School Student Scholarship Committee, which will review and assess whether we are able to provide financial support.
By submitting this form, you (student) agree to share information with the Student Scholarship Committee.
Fundraising for the ZagLaw Emergency Fund is done throughout the year; funds can only be awarded as donations are received. When funding becomes available, applications will be reviewed, and awards will be made.
After Submission:
Submitted forms are reviewed by the selection committee. Applicants are notified when a decision to award or no award has been made. Requests will remain open until an award notification is sent. If you have submitted an application. and not received an award notification, your request remains open. All awards are distributed through financial aid/student accounts.
