As the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic continues, we understand many students may still be experiencing hardships. Gonzaga Law has established the ZagLaw Emergency Fund to help. The Alumni Engagement Office fundraises throughout the year and awards funds as donations are received.
- Be enrolled and a current student at Gonzaga Law.
- Demonstrate financial need caused by the COVID-19 pandemic or a sudden, unexpected change in circumstances.
Expenses Potentially Covered:
- Books and other essential academic expenses
- Transportation/Bus Pass
- Medical Care
- Child Care
Examples of Expenses Not Covered:
- Tuition, Fees, and/or Study Abroad Costs
- Parking tickets or other fines
- Non-essential utilities (i.e. cable, cell phone bill) and household needs
- Credit Card Debit and/or Personal Debit
- Court Fees
Students who find themselves in need are encouraged to fill out this form. We will review and assess if we are able to provide financial support. Please understand not all requests will be met, awards will not exceed $1,000, and loss of a scholarship does not meet the criteria of a sudden change in circumstances. The ZagLaw Emergency Fund is administered by the Law School Student Scholarship Committee.
By submitting this form, you (student) agree to share this information with the Student Scholarship Committee. Please note: because we fundraise throughout the year, we are only able to award funds as donations are received. You may submit your application and funds will be awarded when possible. If you have not received an award notification, your request is still pending.
Each form submitted will be reviewed. After the selection group decides to award funds or not to award funds, the applicant will be notified. Requests will remain open until an award notification is made. If you have not received an award notification, your request is still pending. For those who are awarded funding, funds will be distributed via financial aid/student accounts.
