Program Outline

Courses required for graduation with a Doctor of Educational Leadership

This program starts cohorts during the summer term. It consists of 51 credit hours completed across 7 semesters. It will be delivered through three summers semesters of traditional face-to-face classes in Spokane; four semesters of online courses; and supported by regular contact and coursework with doctoral advisors and field-based mentors. Candidates will choose one of three specialty tracks: 1) Pre-K-12 school leadership; 2) Educational Leadership among Indigenous Peoples; or 3) Leadership in Catholic schools.

The Summer terms are generally scheduled for the month of July. Candidates will arrive on-campus around July 1 (specific dates will be shared as candidates are admitted), then have roughly 4 weeks of face-to-face classes. The residency portion will wrap up in late-July or early-August, depending on how the calendar dates fall in a given year.
