About the UW-GU Summer Biomedical Research Program in Seattle

In partnership with the University of Washington School of Medicine, Gonzaga University offers summer volunteer research opportunities for enrolled undergraduates. This program is designed to help develop future biomedical researchers by providing motivated students the chance to experience the research-intensive environment of a major research university.

Throughout the summer, participants will deepen their knowledge in a chosen field, build professional connections, and gain firsthand experience working alongside graduate students, post-docs and principal investigators in collaborative research groups.

These positions are considered voluntary, and participants are not employees of the University of Washington. Students are responsible for travel, food, and personal expenses; however, Gonzaga provides a stipend to offset costs. For those needing housing, the University of Washington offers limited free housing in its residence halls.
