Step 1
Log into https://mymedia.gonzaga.edu with your Gonzaga username and password.
Step 2
Click on the video that you wish to download the transcript from.
Step 3
Underneath the video there is an ACTION options, click it and select "Edit" from the displayed options.
Step 4
Navigate to the "Captions" tab and there should be machine created captions for your video.
- If you wish to edit them, select the pencil.
- If you wish to download them select the download icon (arrow down with inbox)
Step 5
The process described will download an SRT file to your computer. Find that particular file; usually named English.srt,
Step 6
Navigate to this website: https://subtitletools.com/convert-subtitles-to-plain-text-online and choose that srt file from your computer. Hit "Extract Text". This site will provide you with a text file that you can later copy into any other application such as Microsoft Word.
