Loan Deferment, Consolidation, and Cancellation:
The Carrie Welch loan cannot be consolidated with other federal loans. Borrowers are eligible for the following deferment types if they qualify:
|In school deferment (attending at least half time)|
|Forbearance (up to 12 months at a time, 3 year maximum)|
|Unemployment ( up to 6 months at a time, 3 year maximum)|
|Economic Hardship (up to 6 months at a time, 3 year maximum)|
|Special Billing (reduce monthly payments for up to one year at a time)|
