PHOTO REQUIREMENTS AND UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

Photo template

PHOTO MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Plain white or off white smooth/flat background, please do not use panel door as background.
  • Cropped from just above the top of the head to the collarbone, full face view directly facing the camera- SEE TEMPLATE ABOVE
  • Square photo - rectangle photos cannot be used in our card production software
  • Current color photo taken within the past 6 months without alterations
  • Wear prescription glasses if you normally do so
  • Headphones, wireless hands-free devices, sunglasses or similar items are not acceptable
  • Hat or head covering may only be worn if worn daily for religious purposes. Full face must be visible and head covering cannot obscure the hairline or cast a shadow on the face.
  • JPEG format is preferable

Gonzaga University will defer to the US Department of State guidelines for passport photos when determining if a photo is acceptable.

Have a photo that meets the requirements and ready to submit?

STUDENTS TAKING CLASS ON CAMPUS:

To submit your photo:

  1. Login to Zagweb
  2. Click on the Student tab at the top of the page
  3. On the ZAGCARD tile, click the drop down arrow
  4. Click on the Upload Photo link
  5. Review the photo requirements to be sure your photo meets them -- if you scan a photo do not attach the entire document, crop to fit page
  6. Highlight Personal Photo
  7. Click on the Browse button
  8. When photo selected click the Upload Image button
  9. Students taking class on campus are not required to submit a government ID through Zagweb
  10. You will receive an email within three business days to let you know your photo has been approved or denied.

BRING A GOVERNMENT ID

New students pick up their ZAGCARD during orientation. Each student is required to present an original (not picture or photo copy), valid (not temporary, expired or voided), government issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, driver’s permit, state ID, passport or military ID. If a government ID is not available we will accept original birth certificate, social security card and a piece of mail sent to the student at the address on file with the university. All three must be presented.

If you would like to change the photo currently on file with the University, follow the steps listed above.

STUDENTS TAKING CLASS ONLINE (VIRTUAL CAMPUS) and CANADIAN COHORT PROGRAM:

If you are taking class on line uploading your photo and government ID will provide the University with an image to have on file. If the program you are enrolled in requires a badge identifying you as a Gonzaga University student in a practicum or clinical setting, the photo you submit will appear on the badge. For identity verification purposes you will be prompted to submit an image of your valid (not temporary, voided or expired) government issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport.

If you are scheduled for an immersion or intensive course and would like to request a ZAGCARD, send an email to campuscardservices@gonzaga.edu include your name, ID number and the dates you are scheduled to be on campus.

If you are not scheduled to be on campus and would like to request a ZAGCARD, upload your photo and government ID. Once approved, then send an email to campuscardservices@gonzaga.edu include your name and ID number, your ZAGCARD will be sent to the mailing address on file with the University. The ZAGCARD will not be issued prior to the beginning of the term.

To submit your photo and government ID:

  1. Login to Zagweb
  2. Click on the Student tab at the top of the page
  3. On the ZAGCARD tile, click the drop down arrow
  4. Click the Upload Photo link
  5. Review the photo requirements to be sure your photo meets them
  6. Highlight  Personal Photo
  7. Click on Browse button
  8. When photo selected click the Upload Image button
  9. You will also need to provide an image of an original permanent (not temporary) government issued photo ID
  10. Take a picture of your government ID or scan and crop to fit the page. HELPFUL TIP: Use your phone to take a photo of your ID, if scanned and entire document attached we will not be able to read and your submission will be rejected.
  11. Highlight GOVERNMENT ID
  12. Click the Browse button
  13. When image selected click the Upload Image button
  14. You will receive an email within three business days to let you know your photo and photo ID have been approved or denied.

GU EMPLOYEE:

If you would like to update the photo currently on file with the University you can upload a new photo in Zagweb. The photo you submit must meet the requirements listed above. A professional head shot with a solid color background will be accepted but must be square and cropped to match template shown above.

To update your photo:

  1. Login to Zagweb
  2. Click on the Employee tab at the top of the page
  3. On the ZAGCARD tile, click the drop down arrow
  4. Click on theUpload Photo link
  5. Review the photo requirements to be sure your photo meets them
  6. Highlight Personal Photo
  7. Click on the Browse button
  8. When photo selected click on the Upload Image button
  9. You will receive an email within three business days to let you know your photo has been approved or denied.
