Gender-Inclusive Housing

Gender-Inclusive Housing is offered to any student who wishes to be housed with people who affirm and support their gender identity. 

The transgender, nonbinary, two-spirit, genderqueer and gender diverse living experience helps further develop a residential climate that is positive, respectful, and inclusive for all residents. Gender-inclusive housing provides a safe, affirming, and inclusive community living option for students of the following identities and lived experiences:

• Transgender students
• Nonbinary
• Two-Spirit
• Gender queer students
• Gender diverse
• Students who do not wish to be identified by any sex or gender identity
• Students who are in the process of discovering their gender identity

Transgender, Nonbinary, Gender Diverse and students have the option to:

• Live in an environment that is safe and in alignment with one's gender expression.
• Correct their gender identity, name, and pronouns in the Housing Portal.  Please be aware this action updates housing records only.
• Use the Housing Portal to search for or to be matched with roommates who share or affirm their gender identity.
