Research Opportunities

Students in Gonzaga University’s Master’s in Special Education engage in meaningful research throughout the program. Faculty bring a wide range of research expertise, including severe problem behavior, tic disorders, trichotillomania, feeding and food refusal, language and verbal behavior, preference assessments, social skills, and sustainability. Students have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty on projects and contribute to advancing knowledge in these areas.

Both students and faculty present their work at regional and national conferences, including, but not limited to, Gonzaga University’s Diversity in Education Conference, ABAI, CalABA, and more! These experiences provide students with the skills to conduct applied research, disseminate findings, and discuss contributions that will improve outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.
