The Office of Inclusive Excellence leads the services, functions, and initiatives that foster a deep sense of belonging for everyone at Gonzaga University. We steward the implementation of the university’s Inclusive Excellence Strategic Plan, guide climate reporting and responsive action, and coordinate institution‑wide efforts that strengthen a culture grounded in community, inclusion, and connection. Our work is rooted in the understanding that the institution’s success depends on how fully it values, engages, and includes the richness of human difference across the University.
Gonzaga University has been honored in 2024 and 2025 with the Higher Education Excellence and Distinction (HEED) Award from Insight Into Academia magazine, recognizing colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to academic excellence and belonging. This achievement is attributed to the collaborative work of various university offices, students, faculty, and staff, as well as the implementation of the Inclusive Excellence Strategic Plan.
