All three activities are included for you to enjoy! However, if there is a specific activity that you cannot participate in, please let our Office know at outdoors@zagmail.gonzaga.edu and we will make accommodations for you.

In order to get access to your residence hall room, you will need to check in on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The time and location of check-in are currently being determined and we will update you as soon as we can. You will return to campus on Wednesday, August 23 in time for Orientation #6 if you’re attending that session. On Thursday, August 24 GOOB participants will either go to orientation if they’re attending session 6, or will have an on-campus activity prior to “move-in” day on Friday, August 25.

We are usually able to pick some students up from the airport if you’re arriving early on the morning of August 19. Please contact Gonzaga Outdoors at outdoors@zagmail.gonzaga.edu for more information.

Students can arrive on Friday evening if they have to, but are encouraged to arrive on Saturday and instead of Friday. You are encouraged to book a hotel room if you arrive on Friday. If booking a hotel is not possible, we will try to make accommodations to the best of our abilities. There is no programming planned for Friday night and you are responsible for all meals Friday night.

Yes, students participating in GOOB will have the opportunity to check into their residence hall rooms on Saturday morning, August 19. You will not however have time to get your rooms settled, (you will have at most about an hour), but you will be able to get your residence hall keys and put your items in your room. For students whose travel necessitates that you arrive on Friday evening, you will not be allowed to move in until Sunday morning. Please contact Gonzaga Outdoors, if you need information regarding accommodations. GOOB participants will be able to stay in their residence halls following our return.
