The Center for Community Engagement is hiring AmeriCorps members for the 2024-25 academic year to support youth programs and community engagement efforts in Northeast Spokane. Click here to read a general description for CCE AmeriCorps and see below for details about each position.

About the Positions

The Elementary Youth Programs AmeriCorps position (2) will support youth mentoring programs and partnerships concentrated in Northeast Spokane and elementary schools neighboring Gonzaga University. The AmeriCorps members will support program quality, youth and families, and the growth and development of the university students that run programming. The Secondary Youth Programs AmeriCorps position (2) will support youth mentoring programs and partnerships concentrated in Northeast Spokane and two middle schools and one high school neighboring Gonzaga University. The AmeriCorps members will support program quality, youth and families, and the growth and development of the university students that run programming. The Gonzaga Family Haven Education Coordinator (1) supports partnerships and programming provided by Gonzaga at the newly constructed Gonzaga Family Haven, the 73-unit, long-term supportive housing facility located in the Logan neighborhood. The primary role of this position will be to develop, implement, and support after-school and summer programming for youth that live at the Gonzaga Family Haven. The position will also support family programming and partnerships while serving as a key point of contact for Gonzaga students involved at the Gonzaga Family haven- providing training, support, and coordination of volunteer placements.
