Program Overview
Campus Kids is a one-on-one, campus-based mentoring program focused on helping 4th-6th grade youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. From 3:30 - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, you can find youth and their GU mentors engaged in a variety of activities, working on homework and educational games together, and sharing a healthy snack. Mentors visit their mentee at school once a week, and participate in quarterly Saturday activities. The program aims to establish successful relationships and provide opportunities for participation in varied academic, recreational, and social activities, while helping youth create a vision for their future.
Campus Kids is a year-long commitment for GU students. We strongly encourage mentors to consider committing to the program for longer than one year, but this is not a requirement.
If you have any questions, we encourage you to visit us in the Hemmingson Center (Suite 010) or contact Bailley Wootton at 509-313-6821 or wootton@gonzaga.edu.
