Our graduate and doctoral programs each have different application deadlines throughout the year. Please find your program below to get more specific date information. Department of Counselor EducationM.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.A. in Marriage & Family Counseling, and M.A. in School Counseling –
Early-action deadline is January 15; final deadline is March 15. Due to the competitive nature of these programs, the early admission deadline is strongly encouraged in order to maximize consideration of your application. Early admission applicants will have their final admission decision before the final application deadline. Cohorts may fill before the final deadline, so act quickly!
Master of Counselling (Canada) –
Applications for our Fall 2017 cohort in Vancouver, British Columbia, will be accepted on a rolling basis until the cohort has reached capacity.
Department of Leadership & Administration
M.A. in Leadership & Administration (U.S.-site based), M. Ed. in Leadership & Administration (BC), M. Ed. (School Administration) (AB), and M. Ed. in Educational Leadership (online) -
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. If you have specific questions about our Canadian programs, please contact your regional representative. If you have questions about our US-based or online program, please contact our Graduate Admission office.
Doctor of Educational Leadership –
EdD faculty will begin reviewing applications in mid-January, and will continue to review applications until the cohort has reached capacity. Additional review will occur in mid-February and mid-March. We will notify prospective students of admission decisions within 15 days of the receipt of a completed application. The latest we can review application materials for admission to the nearest summer start is mid-March, which will result in an admission decision of April 1.

Department of Teacher Education
Master of Initial Teaching (Elementary) and Master of Initial Teaching (Secondary) –
Applications for the Summer 2017 cohort are closed. Applications for Summer 2018 will open in September. March 19, 2018, is the priority deadline for the 2018 cohort, unless program capacity has been reached prior to this date. The final application deadline is May 31, 2018. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. Classroom placements are arranged as students are accepted, so the sooner you are accepted and confirmed, the higher the likelihood of preferred placement.
M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language (MA-TESL) –
Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. This program admits for three start terms per year – fall, spring, and summer. Domestic applicants need to have all application materials submitted at least one month prior to the start of a term in order to begin. International applicants must have application materials submitted at least 6 weeks prior to the start of term.
Department of Special Education
M. Ed. in Special Education –
Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. This program admits for three start terms per year – fall, spring, and summer. Domestic applicants need to have all application materials submitted at least one month prior to the start of a term in order to begin. International applicants must have application materials submitted at least 6 weeks prior to the start of a term.
Education Specialist in School Psychology –
The priority application deadline for post-baccalaureate candidates is January 15. The deadline for post-Master’s students is October 15. Upon the deadline, our faculty with commence with initial review of complete applicants. If selected, you may be invited to interview with the department for admission. If offered admission, April 15 is the deadline to confirm your acceptance and intention to join our program.
