Sara Bernard-Hoverstad

Sara is delighted to join the team for faculty and staff formation at Gonzaga as a social ethicist and educator. She looks forward to exploring the geographies of the Inland Northwest, foraging for local berries, and riding her bike along the Spokane River.

A proud product of eleven years of Jesuit education, Sara holds a Ph.D. in Theological Ethics from Boston College, a Master of Theological Studies from Boston College's School of Theology and Ministry, and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from Seattle University. Her scholarship and teaching focus on the areas of sustainability, moral agency, and Christian social ethics.
