File Your FAFSA
Remember to complete your FAFSA on time every year!
Students returning to Gonzaga for the 2010-2011 academic year must complete a 2010-2011 FAFSA to receive any need-based financial assistance. The FAFSA can be filed via the internet after January 1, 2010, but must be completed, processed, and received by GU by February 1, 2010 for you to receive priority aid consideration. If the FAFSA is received after February 1, 2010, some need-based financial aid programs (grants, scholarships, loans and work study) may not be available due to limited resources.
The Importance of Updating Your FAFSA
If you have not filed previous year's taxes before February 1,2010, you may need to initially submit estimated figures from your last pay stubs. However, you must return to the FAFSA website to update you and your parent's information once your tax returns have been completed. If you fail to update your information you could be selected for the verification process, requiring that we collect you and your parent's U.S. Income Tax Returns as well as a completed Verification Worksheet. If you are selected for verification your financial aid will not disburse to your student account until the process has been completed.
