Transfer Visit Day
Gonzaga University Transfer Visit Day provides prospective transfer students the opportunity to spend an entire day on campus while getting to know the Admission staff, current GU students, and Gonzaga faculty.
This year Transfer Visit Day will be held on Thursday, March 21st, 2013. To register for Transfer Visit Day, please fill out the Schedule a Visit form. Select 3/21/13 as your visit date and put Transfer Visit Day in the comments section. Be sure to include the number of people in your party!
Below is a list of the activities available to students and their families on GU Transfer Visit Day:
Breakfast and Opening Remarks - Continental Breakfast is served. Keynote Speakers may include Julie McCulloh, Dean of Admission; David Lindsay, Director of Student Activities.
Interactive Student Panel - After breakfast, students will meet and interview current Gonzaga transfer students. This is a Q & A period where prospective students can get a sense for the opportunities that Gonzaga offers by speaking with current GU students.
Financial Aid Information Session - Students and visiting family members will have the opportunity to sit in on an information session given by a representative from the Financial Aid Office as well as with the Dean of Admission.
Campus Tour - Gonzaga Ambassadors and Admission Counselors will take students and their families on a walking tour of Gonzaga's campus.
Lunch - After the morning tour, a catered lunch will be served for Transfer Visit Day visitors. During lunch, visiting students and families will sit with current students and Admission Counselors for casual conversation - a great opportunity to ask questions and discuss student life at GU.
Academic Information Session - Following lunch, students and their families will attend an information session on their area of academic interest. Options include Arts & Sciences, Business, Engineering, and Education. If students are undecided, they may choose to attend any session.
Admission Interview - At the day's end, students and their families are welcome to drop into the Admission Office to meet with an Admission Counselor. Any remaining questions may be answered at this time.
