Laptop Recommendations

The School of Engineering & Applied Science utilizes the most up to date technologies in teaching.  With this in mind students are recommended to have a laptop computer.

You may purchase any system on the market.  Here are some things to keep in mind.

• A four year warranty
• Advanced graphics card (Some models include ATI FireGL, ATI FirePro, NVidia Quadro FX line)
• Laptops must have Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed.
• A portable mouse is helpful.

Note:  Mac OS Systems will not run some engineering related software.  Please contact your advisor on whether this pertains to your major.
