School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS): Innovation for the Common Good, Powered by Your Donations
Empowering Growth
The SEAS Dean’s Excellence Fund invests in high-impact learning opportunities, including hands-on projects for student clubs, maintaining critical equipment, study abroad programs, and ongoing faculty professional development.
Advancing Health Through Innovation
The newly launched Biomedical Engineering program is one of the most interdisciplinary programs at Gonzaga, melding engineering with biology, chemistry, and human anatomy & physiology. Construction of the associated Laboratory suite was completed this summer and needs your support to bring it to full functionality. The large teaching lab, tissue culture lab, and two faculty research labs supports hands-on learning across a wide range of biomedical engineering topics.
Driving Discovery & Development
Gonzaga Research Opportunities in Math, Engineering, and Computer Science (GRO-MECS) provides undergraduates with faculty-led, project-based learning experiences. These hands-on opportunities help students become agile, innovative thinkers who are prepared to adapt to emerging technologies and evolving knowledge. GRO-MECS empowers students to pursue discovery, develop leadership and problem-solving skills, and make meaningful contributions to their fields.
Bridging Disciplines, Inspiring Breakthroughs
The Center for Materials Research (CMR) provides new, transformative learning opportunities for students through research and instruction-based experiences. The CMR represents a cluster of interdisciplinary, affiliated faculty and staff experts at Gonzaga University with specific expertise on specialized instrumentation, and wide-ranging technical expertise in engineering, chemistry & biochemistry, biology and environmental studies.
