Our Purpose

The Campus Pantry addresses food and basic needs insecurity among Gonzaga students. We recognize that students who are under basic needs stress often aren't able to concentrate on academics. By providing free access to food and hygiene products, we help alleviate that stress so students can focus on their education and personal growth.

Our Mission

Rooted in the Ignatian principle of cura personalis (care for the whole person), the Campus Pantry embodies Gonzaga's commitment to supporting students holistically, mind, body, and spirit. We believe everyone has the right to an education, and having a basic needs insecurity should never make someone feel unworthy. The Campus Pantry is a welcoming, neutral space where all students can access resources without question or judgment.

What's Available

The Campus Pantry offers:

  • Non-perishable food items: canned goods, pasta, rice, and other shelf-stable staples
  • Quick meals: mac and cheese cups, ramen, oatmeal packs, and ready-to-eat options
  • Snacks and beverages
  • Personal hygiene products: toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo, laundry detergent, and more

Students can visit as often as needed and take whatever they need. There are no limits.

Location: Hemmingson 150 (lower level, across from Mulligan Field)

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday: 9a - 4p
  • Appointments available upon request

Staffed Support

Our Campus Pantry staff are here to help connect you with additional campus and community resources, including information about SNAP benefits and other basic needs programs.
