Students apply to the McKinstry Gateway Scholars Program in the fall of their sophomore year. Admission is selective and cohort-based. Freshmen are encouraged to attend info sessions and site visits to prepare.
Who can apply
- Current Gonzaga SEAS students in mechanical engineering, and certain other engineering programs tbd
- Typically in the fall of sophomore year
- Must be in good academic standing

- Two references (GU faculty and/or recent employer)
How to apply, step by step
- Attend an info session or talk with a SEAS advisor to confirm the pathway fits your goals.
- Complete the online application when the cycle opens
- Submit any supporting materials before the deadline.
Selected students are notified and welcomed into the Scholars cohort.
