I ponder and discuss these things extensively: pros and cons to test-based education reform, the benefit of accountability in an organization, assumptions that often go unquestioned in schools, and societal inequities. I'm hoping to learn more about ways that humans have taught and learned in social settings apart from formal schools and how teachers (or schools) can be more responsive to the learners they serve. And l love to examine assessment and testing practices alongside other educators in collaborative inquiry, which becomes empowering for all of us.
