Master Sergeant (Retired) Christopher Ford

Human Resources Technician

Mr. Christopher Ford serves as the Human Resources Assistant and Enrollment Eligibility Officer for Gonzaga University’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program. As the Human Resources Assistant, he serves as the primary administrative professional and subject matter expert for all personnel and operational functions with the Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC). He is responsible for enrollment of Cadets into ROTC and manages Cadet pay, security clearance, and prepare commissioning documents.

Mr. Ford served in the United States Army for 22 years as a Cavalry Scout and has served in a wide range of positions from Scout to First Sergeant. Mr. Ford’s duty assignments have been at Camp Humphrey, South Korea; Fort Hood, TX; Schofield Barracks, HI; JBLM, WA; Fort Irwin, CA; Fort Drum, NY. He has been deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom with 2nd BN 7th Cavalry from 2004-2005, 2nd Squadron 14th Cavalry from 2007 to 2009 then again from 2010 to 2011; and Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom from 2012 to 2013. Mr. Ford’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign Medals, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Global War on Terrorism Service Medals, and NATO Medal, among others. He has earned the Combat Action Badge, Expert Marksman Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, German Army Proficiency Badge and has been inducted into the Order of Saint George-Bronze Medallion.

His military education includes U.S. Army Airborne School, U.S. Army Air Assault School, Rappel Master Course, Basic Leaders Course, Armor Advanced Leaders Course, Maneuver Senior Leaders Course, Scout Leaders Course, Stryker Leaders Course, The National Training Center OC/T Course, Pre-Command/ First Sergeant Course, Security Force Assistance Advisor Course, Common Faculty Development Instructors Course, Recruiting Operations Officer Course and Human Resources Assistant Course.

Mr. Ford is married to his wife Ramona for 21 years, and they have three daughters together.

Mr. Ford manages the Bulldog Battalion’s Human Resources. He is responsible for enrollment of cadets into ROTC and manages cadet pay, security clearance, and prepare commissioning documents. Also, he prepares temporary duty orders and travel for advance and basic camp cadets going to summer training.
