Delaney M., Summer 2019
The largest benefit is actual hands on learning. Every science class should be taught outside and be able to offer hands on learning.

In addition to Study Abroad programs, Gonzaga also offers Short Term Domestic Immersions for programs within the country, offered during the Summer or during inter-semester terms (Spring & Winter break). Programs will appear when they are being offered.
During this three week program, students have the opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest through science and naturalist/eco-critical writing. This field-based program follows the salmon, tracking this icon of the northwest from glacial mountain streams to the ocean. The program includes co-curricular writing, focusing on marine biology and regional biodiversity along with reading and writing attention to nature, place, and relationships in this region.
