I strongly believe that a good teacher should inspire and cultivate curiosity in their students. My teaching goals are to help students develop into deep thinkers with transferable skills like academic writing, problem-solving and experimental design that they can use in future courses, graduate school, or their professions. Research-wise, I focus on using a biomechanics-based approach to understand motor control and motor learning in human locomotion. I have been working on research studies investigating methods to prevent injuries in runners, gait retraining and gait modification using real-time visual feedback, and application of wearable sensor technology in rehabilitation sciences.
