The Spokane Intercollegiate Research Conference (SIRC) offers students from a wide range of majors the chance to present their research and creative work, receive valuable feedback, and connect within a scholarly community. This event welcomes students at all stages of their academic journey, providing an opportunity to practice presenting, develop communication skills, and experience a professional conference in a supportive and engaging setting—all while discovering the breadth of research happening across our region
The Conference
The Spokane Intercollegiate Research Conference (SIRC), co-hosted by Gonzaga University and Whitworth University, alternates between campuses each year. This annual celebration of undergraduate research is free and open to all students in the Spokane area. Participants may present a poster, deliver an oral presentation, or showcase creative work.
While the focus is on undergraduate scholarship, SIRC also welcomes contributions from graduate and other student researchers, creating a true community celebration of inquiry and innovation. The conference is open to the public—join us and learn about the exciting research happening close to home!
SIRC 2027 will be hosted by Gonzaga University on April 24th, 2027. Conference details and presenter application will be released on January 1, 2027.
