Care Giver - Care giver for 16 month old boy in our home.
Posted Date: 8/18/2014
Description: Hi! We are looking for reliable, safe childcare for our 16m boy in our home off of 57th Ave for Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays starting in September and continuing likely through the end of June. The times are not exactly set yet, as I am switching jobs midSept. I'll be working from home most days but will have some travel across the state. My husband is a teacher and we have another son who will be going to an in-home daycare center a few miles away. So the situation with our little one is pretty flexible on days I'll be working from home, but we'd also ask for your flexibility on days when I need to catch an early flight. The biggest benefits to the job are a really sweet little boy who takes great naps, a relaxed work atmosphere, a happy household, and as much flexibility as we can offer. We can pay $500 for the month and aren't really interested in the minutiae of tracking specific hours because we're really into the flexibility thing. For example, we work the same schedule as Spokane Public Schools, so you'd have all holidays paid off, paid Xmas break, paid Spring break, etc. This has worked out REALLY well with previous caregivers, so we hope to find somebody reliable and terrific who likes this arrangement! We'd prefer a student and would even do job sharing between 2 students to accommodate class schedules. There are no other tasks aside from taking excellent care of our little guy (a few easy meals and snacks, diaper changes, patient and fun interaction with him). He loves to play and is learning to talk. We have a fenced-in backyard for outside time and live close to a few parks. We also have a dog who loves attention. He naps twice a day (but might be moving to one longer nap, we're not really sure what he's up to right now). Lots of quiet time for homework. And again, there's a fair amount of time that I'll be working from home, so we can work out something around that. You need to have your own reliable transportation. I think that's all of the details but we can talk more if you have questions I've not answered here. Thanks!
Qualifications: Patient, gentle, responsible, reliable and fun!
Pay Rate: $500 / month (see above) Hours: approx 27 Open Date: Start Sept 2
Application Procedure: Please email me so we can decide if meeting up is a good idea.
Materials: Would love a few references for similar work but will accept other job references. Also need to know your class schedule so we can work out details.
