Description: We are looking for a dynamic assistant to help with a range of tasks in our small organic beauty skin care products company: -packaging orders and marking them as fulfilled -managing inventory (labels, products, packaging supplies) -cutting cosmetic labels -preparing promotional packages -dropping packages at the post office -filling jars and bottles with products (creams, lotions, etc.) -customer correspondence -scanning and electronic filing of a range of documents -correspondence with blogger partners as needed -sending out e-mail newsletters More advanced tasks, after the employee has mastered the basic tasks, can range from creating Facebook posts and ads, designing newsletter layouts, preparing test samples, SEO, etc.-depending on the individual's interests and talents. This position offers an amazing learning opportunity for someone who is interested in owning a business one day, but also for those who plan to work for others and want to broaden their range of business skills.
Qualifications: Self starter, fast learner, works well independently, excellent attention to detail, superior time management. Neat, organized. Computer savvy: excellent Excel skills, general adaptability to different software for online store management. An interest or academic focus on business, entrepreneurship, marketing, or PR preferred. We will also seriously consider a science major, especially biology or chemistry. As preparing beautiful packages with fragile items inside is the main task, a person who is detail oriented and fast with his or her hands will be the best fit. Prior experience at at least one job is required. The perfect candidate would be interested in staying at this position for at least six months (we can usually adapt to the student's changing school schedule).
