||Summary of Position
Performs a variety of duties for customer service including greeting taking orders and serving customers, receiving payments, maintaining cash drawers, beverage preparation, stocking counters and holding cabinets, preparing food, washing dishes, and any other task that is required for the proper success of the Restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities
ï‚§ Always come to work with a clean uniform.
ï‚§ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
ï‚§ Be a team player--support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible.
ï‚§ Maintain sanitary standards.
ï‚§ Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and expedite food orders.
ï‚§ Ring guest orders into the cash register or POS system
ï‚§ Accurately charge the guest and collect payment for orders.
ï‚§ Process credit and debit card transactions.
ï‚§ Answer phone and take phone orders.
ï‚§ Interact with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
ï‚§ Fill orders, from making sandwiches and salads to general food prep.
ï‚§ Maintain hot or cold temperature conditions as per standards.
ï‚§ Maintain appropriate portion-control.
ï‚§ Clean tables and chairs frequently.
ï‚§ Clean equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
ï‚§ Keep floor in work or service area clean and free of debris.
ï‚§ Complete shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards.
For Pizza Makers:
Our pizzas are made with fresh dough, and pressed and hand tossed with finesse by our extraordinary pizza bakers. Then they are handcrafted and baked in our brick-fired oven.
This position requires great customer service skills, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to multitask. Our oven requires a constant awareness of pizza position and timing. But when done right, you will not find a better pizza anywhere.
Though your primary focus will be on ensuring we have the most tantalizing and satisfying pizzas in town, you may also function in every other capacity to fulfill our strong belief in teamwork. You will be trained to slice and prep foods, make sandwiches, run the cash register (POS) system, and maintain a clean and sanitary environment. You will interact with customers on a daily basis, and they will watch your incredible pizza skills as you craft and bake their pizzas before their eyes!
It's fun and exciting to be part of a new restaurant opening, but it is hard work. We are looking for character driven people with strong work ethic to help us establish our new restaurant as the place to get fresh, unique sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and salads.
Our bakers start baking as early as 5 a.m. on some days. They craft the incredible sourdough and wheat loaves, pizza crust, bread sticks and more by hand every day. There is little that compares to the smell of Caruso's signature breads baking in the oven!
Bakers must be 18 years of age or over to utilize the power mixer. Additionally, all employees are required to have a current Washington State food handlers card and Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) card. These can both be obtained online.
Though your primary focus will be on ensuring we have the freshest and tastiest breads in town to serve our guests, our bakers will also function in every other capacity to fulfill our strong belief in teamwork. You will be trained to slice and prep foods, make sandwiches and pizzas, run the cash register (POS) system, and maintain a clean and sanitary environment. You will interact with customers on a daily basis, and "be on stage," as our bakery is featured in our restaurant. Customers will watch with awe the incredible job you do through a window every customer will pass by to place their order.
For General Crew-members:
St. Crew members will interact with customers every shift, maintain a spotless environment, prepare sandwiches, soups, salads, and pastas, ring orders and cash out guests, clean dishes, and any other responsibility necessary to deliver the incredible Caruso's dining experience to our guests.
We will be opening beginning in June, and will conduct training classes the last week of May. We will have day and night positions available.
High school diploma or equivalent desired.
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
Must be able to perform simple math calculations and make change.
Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must have the ability to lift, stoop, and bend.
Must have the ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds frequently.
Must have the ability to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Must be appropriate age to serve beer and wine
Must be 18 to operate oven, slicer and mixer and serve alcohol.
Must have reliable means of transportation to and from work.
