Cheerleading

Members of the Gonzaga Cheerleading Team enjoy a truly unique college experience. From being the only true co-ed program in the West Coast Conference, to supporting successful Men's and Women's Basketball teams in front of raving fans, GU Cheerleaders are highly visible. Crowd involvement and partner stunting are the primary focus of the program.

In order to tryout, each applicant must be accepted to the university or be a current undergraduate student and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the season.  Previous cheerleading and gymnastics experience strongly recommended for females. No experience required for males.

As any athletic team at GU, cheerleaders must be dedicated to improving their skills, have a positive attitude, be willing to try new things, work hard, be knowledgeable of cheerleading safety regulations, and most importantly represent the ideals set forth by the Gonzaga Mission Statement.
