GEL Student Coordinator
Meet our student coordinator!
Bio - Kyle Swartz is a senior at Gonzaga University studying Political Science with a minor in Sociology. Kyle came to Gonzaga from Toledo, OH where he graduated from St. John’s Jesuit High School. Kyle has enjoyed being an Ambassador during his four years at Gonzaga. In addition to being an ambassador he has loved being involved with: a service organization on campus (Knights of Gonzaga), Gonzaga Student Body Association (GSBA), and the intramural sports program. After graduation, Kyle hopes to join the Peace Corps with the aspiration of going to law school at the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law in Arizona following his two years of service. One of Kyle’s greatest memories at Gonzaga was the three week road trip he took at the conclusion of his freshman year down the Pacific Coast Highway ending in beautiful San Diego.
Advice Kyle would give to an incoming student is that your Gonzaga experience will truly be enhanced if you experience the greater Spokane area starting your freshman year. A few ideas -- take a run at Manito Park on South Hill and then grab some ice cream at Scoop after. See a movie for one dollar at Garland Theater on any given Wednesday. Or possibly come to Spokane around the end of June and participate in Hoopfest, the world's largest outdoor three-on-three basketball tournament. Come visit campus and be sure to do some spontaneous exploring of your own.
Please contact Kyle with any questions regarding GEL.
