Miscellaneous - DRIVER (modified handicap van)

Description: Dr. Bering needs assistance getting to and from work (South Hill to hospital right off I-90 in Coeur d'Alene) four days a week. Her car, her gas. Some trips she will be busy on her laptop and working during the drive, other times unburdened. Dr. Bering's car has modified hand controls but also can be driven with traditional controls by able-bodied driver. Typically, two shifts each day (morning to work; afternoon back home). Each "shift" the driver will pick up Dr. Bering's van in Spokane, and return to Spokane, so it's a round trip each morning and each afternoon. That's two round trips a day. NPR and good conversation is mandatory (unless she's busy working on the laptop or phone). There is some flexibility to permit driver to skip a "shift" from time to time, as she has other drivers available and can sometimes drive herself. We are looking to hire a responsible person who handles the majority of the shifts.
Qualifications: Responsible driver with insurance able to drive most mornings and/or most evenings Mon-Tues and Thurs-Fri. From the South Hill to CDA in the early AM (8-ish) and sometime around 6-7pm. Hours are a bit variable, especially the return evening trip.

HIGHLY PREFFERED: 1) One (1) year sales experience; 6+ months experience in industry preferred. 2) Must be able to pass pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen, a pre-employment physical and physical capacity test, and be at least 18 years of age. 3) Must have own reliable transportation and valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance (mileage reimbursement provided). 4) Must have a clean driving record and provide a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview. 5) Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, plus maneuver large bulky racks of product. 6) Must be available to work between the hours of 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas); schedule to be discussed at time of interview. 7) Must have a positive safe work ethic and be reliable. 8) Must uphold the Company's core values. 9) Must join the Teamster Union.
