What is your favorite place on campus?

I have three favorite places on campus.  The first is the DeSmet quad because when it's nice outside, there is always something going on.  The second is Crosby; I know, it's a bit of a cliche, but to be honest you can't walk through the place without running into at least three people you know.  And last, but not least, the main entrance of the university (where you see the statue of St. Ignatius and College Hall right behind it).  It's just such a fantastic view of the "collegiate-ness" of Gonzaga.

What about your favorite place in Spokane?

I really like Manito Park.  It's a park on the South Hill (area of Spokane) and it is a great place to get "away" from campus and have a nice walk or jog.  There's a great bakery nearby where you can pick up a muffin and a cup of coffee if it's cool out!

Which class and/or professor have you enjoyed the most so far?

One of my favorite classes at Gonzaga has been "Leadership and Storytelling" taught by Dr. Joe Albert.  This is a wonderful class that teaches you about the power of narrative and ways in which as people we can relate to others through our personal stories.  We met twice a week and every time it was a complete blast.

Give us a fun fact about you:

I carry a bottle of hot sauce in my backpack, you never know when your food won't be spicy enough!

What extra-curricular activity do you enjoy the most?

Last year I played on the Gonzaga Ice Hockey club team, it was great to end a day by going over to the ice to shoot some pucks around with fellow Gonzaga students.  Although maybe not considered an "extra-curricular" activity, intramural games are the best way to get to know people and play sports outside of class!

Even though you haven't left Gonzaga yet, what is your favorite memory so far?

I was in my DeSmet room, my nose about 6 inches away from the television screen watching Gonzaga vs. Saint Mary's (at Saint Mary's) with 6 fellow DeSmet men, all of us anxiously watching as the overtime clock ticked down and we slowly caught up.  The sound of the buzzer on TV symbolized that we had beat them, and in that instant the entire DeSmet residence hall erupted in cheers and celebration.  It was awesome!
