Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program of college level courses and examinations for high school students. AP exams are given once each year during the middle week of May. Gonzaga's requirements for granting credit for individual AP subject exams are listed below. Please contact the Office of Admission with specific questions.

Credit is not given automatically for either the Physics B or Physics C Mechanics exam. Rather, a score of 4 or higher entitles a student to a waiver of fees for a department exam which will determine if credit will be awarded. Contact the Physics Department for details concerning the proctoring of the exam(s).

Physics C, Electricity and Magnetism Gonzaga does not grant credit for this examination

**Students intending to use AP Calculus credit as a prerequisite for advanced mathematics course work must consult Gonzaga's Mathematics Department faculty prior to doing so.
