University Core

The University Core, completed by all Gonzaga students regardless of major, is an academic program that embodies our Catholic, Jesuit, and humanistic heritage and mission. It grounds, extends, and enriches each student’s major area of study.

In the summer of 2016, Gonzaga is introducing revisions to the university core curriculum. All new undergraduate students entering in the summer of 2016 or later, including freshmen and transfers, will complete this new curriculum. Current students will continue in the current core curriculum unless they petition to transition to the new curriculum and obtain signed approval of their petition.
