Residence Halls close on Saturday, May 8 at 10am. Building access will be turned off at this time for students, unless a late departure form has been submitted and approved. Any student who wants to remain on campus and have access to their room and building, MUST submit a late departure form. These forms are found on ZagLiving and are due by Sunday, April 25 at 5pm. Forms can still be submitted after this deadline, but will be assessed a $10 late form fee.
There is a charge for late departures. The charge is $80/day that a student wishes to remain on campus. This charge is assessed even if a student leaves later in the day on May 8. There are some categories of late departure that are not charged, i.e. graduates, siblings of graduates, students assisting with commencement, student athletes participating in competitions or training required by their sport, international travel.
Late departure forms are also required for any student who wishes to transition from their academic year/spring room on campus directly into summer housing. The weekly rate for summer housing will be charged for the week of housing that transitions into the summer term. Students who transition to summer housing will remain in their current room until summer apartments are cleaned and turned over and ready for new residents. The Housing Office will message students directly with information on their summer room assignment and details on returning current keys and picking up summer room keys.
Any student who has questions about their late departure should reach out to the Housing Office:firstname.lastname@example.org.
