Move-In What To Bring

To reduce the number of items that may need to be moved out on short notice, please minimize the number of belongings brought to campus.


  • PPE/COVID related items (see below)

  • Bedding for a Twin XL bed (Sheets, pillows, blankets) 

  • Computer 
  • Hangers 

  • Laundry Bag/Basket 

  • Phone/Charger

  • Toiletries/Towels 

Please note, due to COVID-19, communal kitchen supplies will not be provided for the fall semester. If students plan on eating in the residence hall, they should bring a pot and pan, plates, bowls, and silverware. 

Optional Items:

  • Pictures/Posters 

  • Plants

  • Headphones 

  • Iron 

  • Recreation Equipment

  • Bicycle

  • TV/stereo

  • Small, UL-approved appliances (such as a mini fridge) 

Do Not Bring:

  • Candles 

  • Cooking Appliances 

  • Firearms/Weapons 

  • Heaters/Halogen Lamps/Heat Lamps 

  • Portable AC Units

  • Pets 

  • Large furniture items

Items to bring to campus for health and safety related to COVID-19:

  • Masks

    • Multiple Masks are recommended (up to one for each day to allow for washing) 
    • See information on Use of Masks by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 
  • Personal cleaning and disinfecting supplies for your space 

  • Hand sanitizer at least 60% alcohol based 

  • Personal digital thermometer 

  • Easy to clean/disinfect plastic bin for toiletries 

    • Use to tote toiletries to avoid placing individual items on sinks, counter spaces, and other high touch areas
