“Our curriculum and overall academic environment are designed to develop accounting graduates who are technically well-prepared, possess outstanding critical thinking skills, and become ethical leaders in the profession. The success of our students in securing employment with top firms in the country and on the CPA exam provides objective evidence that our students are as well-prepared as any in the country." - Gary,Weber, Ph.D

Gonzaga University's Master of Science in Taxation is a bolstered version of the previous MAcc Taxation Concentration. The MSTax program develops accounting skills while offering students a significant resume/networking advantage over accounting peers. Also known as the MST, this program prepares students for the rapidly changing tax-accounting environment and the dynamic nature of the accounting profession. The accounting program received separate AACSB accreditation in 2009, and is one of only 170 universities in the United States to have received this distinction.

Gonzaga’s Master of Science in Taxation program has a record of success that speaks for itself.

CPA Exam Success

The first-time CPA exam pass rate for Gonzaga students is 71%, which ranks 33rd in the nation among large programs and #1 in the Northwest!

This compares to a first-time pass rate under 50% for all other students nationwide. Statistics published annually by the NASBA reveal that Gonzaga students consistently perform significantly above the national average on all sections of the Uniform CPA exam, due to the program's CPA education and preparation.

Job Placement

Our most recent graduating MSTax class boasts a 100% job placement rate within 3 months of graduation!

Strong job placement among Gonzaga graduates is largely due to our excellent on-campus recruiting program, as well as the strong relationships our faculty maintains with employers.
