Stover Earns Top Journal Publication
After nearly five years of persistence, Gonzaga mathematician Joseph Stover—with insight from colleague Eric Hogle—publishes in a leading journal, advancing research and inspiring future discovery.
You will be taught by professors who have a wealth of experience in many different areas. We have professors who have worked on guidance systems, medical imaging, crop patterns, data structures, and epidemiology.
The Gonzaga Math Department is an active and diverse community of faculty and students, with many opportunities for student/faculty collaboration. Here are just a few great facts about us:

Between 2019 and 2023 there have been 75 research students supported by 16 professors. 5 math majors per faculty member.
Professors have taken students to conferences such as the Joint Math Meetings, Spokane Intercollegiate Research Conference, Pacific Inland Mathematics Undergraduate Conference, Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics, and the Cascadia Combinatorial Feast

Of the 20 long-term faculty members, 10 faculty identify as female or non-binary.
Of the current 99 math majors, 49 students identify as female or non-binary.
