Foliotek FAQs

Below are some of the most common questions regarding Foliotek. Please do not hesitate to contact the ATAS department with further questions or comments about Foliotek.

Why do I want a Foliotek account?

There are many reasons to have a Foliotek account!

For students - Outside the classroom, Foliotek is very useful for both current GU students and Alumni. Presentation Portfolios can be very helpful in the process of finding a job or an internship. These portfolios serve as an excellent way to give prospective employers a more detailed description of who you are, what you are about, and what skills you gained during your education. It is a great supplement to the normal application and resume process. Then when you graduate, you can keep your account (for a reduced fee) to use for any other job applications or even for projects within your job. The possibilities are endless!

For faculty - Presentation portfolios foster creativity and outside-of-the box thinking, which helps students see even more value in their education. It fosters an environment where they get excited about their courses and encourages them to think deeper than the surface. It can also serve as a great platform for students to integrate their various college experiences - how are academic and extracurricular learning experiences related? Furthermore, the Assessment side quickly and easily organizes all the necessary documentation and other requirements necessary for various programs or courses. This helps students to easily identify what is required of them and it makes grading their work easier.

 

How much does an account cost?

For current students Foliotek is absolutely free! Alumni can create a new account or keep an existing one for only $8 a year.

 

I am having trouble logging into my Foliotek account, what do I do?

First, it is important to know that all Gonzaga students do not automatically have Foliotek accounts. ATAS will create one for you if a professor, group facilitator or you requests it.

Once you have a Foliotek account, you may access the program through a link in Blackboard if your course was developed with one, or you can always go directly to the website. Here are the steps to access your username and password:

  1. Go to secure.foliotek.com in your web browser (we do not recommend Internet Explorer)
  2. Click on the ‘Forget your username or password?’ link
  3. Enter your Zagmail email address in the Email box and click the Email Password Link button
  4. You will receive an email with your username and a link to Reset (create) Password

**Please note that your Foliotek username and password IS NOT the same as your Gonzaga username and password**

How do I recover my portfolios from iWebfolio?

Great question. In the summer of 2014 Gonzaga moved from iWebfolio to Foliotek for the digital portfolio platform- so you can no longer access your iWebfolio account. But don't worry, the ATAS department can recover most iWebfolio files for you! Just contact us at atasupport@gonzaga.edu and we will search the archive.
