What are the steps of a typical design process?
Step 1:
Meet with your designer to go over your vision for the course update or build.
Step 2:
Over the first few weeks IDD will collect outlines, syllabi, and dive deep into your course materials alongside you to confirm the goals of the course, support faculty in producing creative media content in alignment with the learning outcomes of the course, and make sure that all materials meet copyright and accessibility standards.
Step 3:
Production of media materials, creation of interactive content pieces, and integration of all materials into the course in Canvas. Faculty can be found in the studio recording media, and working with IDD to make sure that all of the contact is accurate and ready to embed in the course.
Step 4:
Full build out of the course in Canvas completed by IDD.
Step 5:
Faculty go over the course and provide feedback, IDD implements feedback, and when final approvals are complete; the course is copied in the live version, and the course is ready to teach!
