Language Lab

The Modern Language/ESL Lab is located in Ad 325 and is staffed and maintained by the ITSS department. The language lab is controlled by the Sony LLC-5000 Language Lab System with 25 audio workstations for students. This system is capable of instructor led learning via audio cassette playback and recording through headsets.

Other technologies in the language lab consists of data projector for uses with video playback via VHS, laserdisk and DVD. Our Overhead Document Camera is also displayed through the data projector.

Language lab services include the duplication of language audio cassettes for the students and video taping of subscribed satellite language programming including French TV5. We will be offering Deutsche Welle and Spanish language programing in the near future.
