We maintain and extend Banner and Zagweb, which is the integrated campus information system that handles the business functions of the University. In addition to these systems, we also do special projects. Some of our past projects include the ID photo system, GAMP system, McCarthey Athletic Center gate entry, Fitness Center gates, Sodexho's Envision (meal card) system, faculty services recharge system, faculty contracts, and numerous 3rd party interfaces like infiNET QuikPAY (e-payment gateway) and the HECB (WA state financial aid program administration). The web development portion of the Application Development Group maintains the university's main web site as well as a number of other web-based applications used by the Gonzaga community. A major online application, the Blackboard Course Management System, is used by faculty and students as a means of communication and collaboration in their courses. Students can download and upload assignments, take tests and join discussions. Web staff also assists community members in the design of web-based applications that help ease workflow and workload. Some examples are: the Human Resource department's online employment application, Instructional Technology Support Service's online training sign up and management site, and Continuing Education's workshop management system.
