Safety

The University is vitally concerned about the safety of employees. The University's goal is to provide safe work areas, equipment and materials. To protect their own and others' safety, all employees are expected to observe safety rules and report unsafe conditions to the Environmental Health and Safety Department (EH&S). A training and information program will be established in any area where an employee may be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Employees must immediately report a work-related injury or illness to their supervisors. Supervisors must report job-related accidents or illness to the Environmental Health and Safety Department within twenty-four hours. All employees are required to complete an emergency contact form. In an emergency, the information is used to notify next-of-kin and medical personnel. Appendix 1 Accident Prevention Program
