Information about Gonzaga and its students and employees, including the Campus Directory, should be provided only to those having a right to know or are authorized to receive such information. When in doubt as to whether certain information is confidential, prudence dictates that none be provided without first clearly establishing that disclosure has been authorized by appropriate authority. This policy applies to both internal and external disclosure.
Confidential information obtained as a result of University employment must not be used by employees to advance any private interest or for personal gain. Use or disclosure of such information can result in civil or criminal penalties both for individuals and the University. This includes the provisions of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).
