Employee and Organizational Development Services

The Human Resources Department is committed to providing the learning and development opportunities necessary for individuals, teams and departments to accomplish their goals and objectives.  In addition to the official Human Resources training programs offered, the Manager of Employee and Organizational Development is able to provide various internal consulting services.  If an individual, team or entire department has a training and development need, please contact Jason Swain at x6124 or swain@gonzaga.edu.

Strategic Leadership Program (SLP)

Managers and future managers can improve their effectiveness in current roles and prepare for career growth.  Participants will gain insight into their own leadership style and will learn practical, relevant skills for effectively leading others.

Successful Supervisor Academy

Specifically for Gonzaga supervisors, this series covers the practical and legal aspects involved in managing today's workforce.  Supervisors will avoid or minimize liability by learning critical University practices and how to apply them to our unique mission.

Consulting Services

Individuals, teams or departments can schedule special sessions to meet their specific needs.  After an initial consultation to understand desired outcomes, custom-designed solutions will be created and offered at a time convenient for both the client and facilitator.

Management Development Program(MDP)

A requirement for all supervisors to attend, this program covers the legal and procedural aspects of managing today’s workforce and how to apply this knowledge effectively within Gonzaga’s unique mission and work environment.  The Management Development Program helps supervisors minimize liability for themselves and the university by providing them with a complete understanding of their roles and responsibilities as managers and therefore as “agents” of the university
