Dear Prospective Cheerleader,
Thank you for your interest in the Gonzaga University Cheerleading Team. Members of the Gonzaga Cheerleading Team enjoy a truly unique college experience. From being the only true co-ed program in the West Coast Conference, to supporting successful Men's and Women's Basketball teams in front of raving fans, GU Cheerleaders are highly visible. Crowd involvement and partner stunting are the primary focus of the program.
In order to tryout, each applicant must be accepted to the university or be a current undergraduate student and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA throughout the season. Previous cheerleading and gymnastic experience is recommended.
As any athletic team at GU, cheerleaders must be dedicated, have a positive attitude, be willing to try new things, work hard, be knowledgeable of cheerleading safety regulations, and most importantly represent the ideals set forth by the Gonzaga Mission Statement.Explore the menu on the left to learn more about tryouts, requirements, and the program in general.
